“Kristen’s presence brought a renewed sense of energy to my work, turning even the most daunting hair tasks rewarding. When I work with younger actresses, I tend to take on a more nurturing, motherly role, and Kristen was no exception. She continued to request me as her hair designer for the remaining “Twilight” films and “Snow White and the Huntsman.” While filming “Snow White and the Huntsman,” we often went out to eat, and on days when we wrapped early, heading back to my London apartment for taco night became our new go-to. It was a privilege to watch Kristen grow, mature, and gain confidence in not only herself but her acting abilities over the years. I’ll never forget one of the rainiest days in the countryside while we were filming “Eclipse.” After wrapping, fans were waiting outside while waving to her and Robert in the hopes of an interaction. Without hesitation, Kristen and Rob asked the driver to stop the car, got out in the rain, and took the time to meet everyone. Witnessing Kristen's growth firsthand, both on and off those sets, always left a lasting impression that left me feeling inspired by her.”

Kristen Stewart served as the Independent Spirit Awards ceremony’s honorary chair last night, and she certainly looked the part. The Spencer actor has been delivering one stunning look after another during her film’s press tour—her red carpet cameos have included tons of Chanel dresses and chic, sustainable cardigans—but for her latest appearance, she chose to reimagine evening wear in Chanel’s glittering crepe top and pants, proving that a two-piece can be just a formal as a gown.
It helps that Stewart’s elegant (and slightly bridal) look is from Chanel’s Métiers d’Art 2022 collection, which is handmade by some of the fashion house’s finest artisans. On the runway, her ensemble was shown underneath a long, black coat, but Stewart allowed it to shine completely on its own, exposing details like the two “CC” buttons that were placed at the bust, almost like pasties.
Stewart accessorized the look with a sleek Chanel watch, made of 18-karat yellow gold, titanium, and diamonds. For glam, makeup artist Jillian Dempsey opted for a “fresh and pretty” beauty look. “I went with very clean skin, defined black lashes, a bit of a smudged under-eye, soft cheeks, and a nude-apricot tone lip shade to complement the sheen of her white outfit,” says Dempsey. Hair stylist Adir Abergel gave her a wavy, half-pulled-back hairstyle derived from an unexpected inspiration. “I looked to the 1950s and 1960s greaser boys who had texture and separation in their hair,” Adir tells Vogue, “and incorporated those influences into a look that was a classic silhouette of old-school Hollywood hair.” With Stewart being a modern-day A-lister, the end result felt undeniably fresh.
