Black Jaguar White Tiger "Kristen Stewart came to visit us last Monday and let me tell you that she’s one super Lovely Human Being. She spent with us around 5 hours and went to both of our ranches. Both her and JD have super pretty eyes..."

Scans: Kristen for Mexico Marie Claire

We would've rather interview Kristen at twilight, but it was dawn, like the movie title, which I guess had a stronger influence on the time set for us. Our date was at 5:00AM, suite 1501 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. Thanks to the latte on her hand, Kristen was already up and ready, but her publicist pointed out, "No pictures; her make up is not done." Completely by ourselves, and with no interruptions at all (just a bodyguard on the door to prevent people from walking in), we started an interview that would've been great if we were vampires, so it'd last forever.

How's a typical day for you? From dawn to twilight?
I have a very early start everyday. My dog Bear usually wakes me up. I live a normal life, pretty much everything that a 22 year old does. If i'm not working, I read, I walk my dog. I'm going through an amazing time in my life right now. My min is very active. I'm never bored. Even when I'm not working, my mind is full of ideas.

If you were a vampire what would you like to do with your time?
I'd take advantage of my strength and speed. I'd leave the house unnoticed.

What beauty tips did you learn on the set of Twilight?
Just stay away from the sun. (laughs)

Kristen Interview with Top Teen (Mexico)

What did it mean to you to play a new version of a princess that is very different from what we’re used to seeing?
I don’t think we have a clear idea anymore about what a princess should be like. We think of them as women who don’t have to do anything, who don’t have to think, and people do everything for them because they’re pretty. In this story, Snow White is a more than capable character, she engages in battles, etc.

Are you as brave as Snow White? What should our readers do to be brave?
I try to be, to be honest. But the answer varies with each person because we all do different things, which should always be true to yourself, and never being ashamed of who you are. We have to be capable to deal with every day, carry on, instead of turning around and compare yourself to another girl. Just be yourself. It doesn’t look like it’s easy but it is.

Are women vindicated in their roles in fairy tales thanks to SW?
Yes, definitely. In the original sotry SW was presented as the perfect woman. Here she’s a matriarc; she does more than sing to birds and clean.

What qualities should a boy have to be a perfect prince?
He must be cute, fun, strong (laughs). No, I think he needs to be honest and dependable.

The concept of beauty is mentioned a lot in the movie, what’s your concept of true beauty?
It’s more than just shining for others. You need to have the perfect face to be beautiful. Being ugly or beautiful is a matter of energy, and true beauty comes from the heart. You can’t hide who you are; ultimately it’s going to show.

What’s your favorite place in the world?
I’m from LA, and I think it’s wonderful because we have forests, beaches, suburbs. We have the most beautiful sunsets. My favorite place in the world is my house.

Which book do you love that you would like to be involved in its adaptation?
Lie Down in Darkness, by William Styron. It’s an amazing story, maybe one day.

How has your life changed since the last time you came to Mexico?
The last time I came here was to promote Eclipse with Taylor Lautner (note from Vale: It was actually for New Moon, Kris!), and it was hard for me to deal with people, you could see it in my face. But this trip has been more relaxed, I’ve enjoyed it more, I don’t feel so far away from home. I love Mexican food, and I can cook some. I would love to go out and walk outside, but I can’t.

Your mom directed K-11 with Mexican actress Kate del Castillo (Note from Vale: Kate is one of Mexico’s most famous and loved actresses, with a very long and impressive career) did you get to meet her?
Yeah, she’s great, very open and cool. Mom was very lucky to work with an actress like her. She looks great in her motorcycle.

What makes you happy about being famous, and what doesn’t make you very happy?
The bets part is that I get to share feelings with people. With the director, with actors, with the very loud and passionate fans screaming outside for me. Sharing their love for something as big as Twilight. But I hate it when people are mad at you when you refuse to sell a part of your life. If they don’t like it they can f*ck themselves. I can’t stand actresses who think that outside of their work they deserve all the attention and admiration.

Kristen Interview with Cine Premiere (Mexico)

We’re shivering in the living room inside the castle where the interview is taking place, which has several drafts… or maybe it’s the legendary ghost dog that guards swear has been haunting the place for years.

“I’m really freezing!” she says, laughing.

“Maybe this speaks highly about how far we’ve come, because I can’t support the power of women without people asking me why must I refer to it as ‘girl power’, you know what I mean? Maybe it’s because I’m young and I see the industry in a different way. Yes, there’s more roles for men, but there’s more roles for women now than there were in previous decades. It’s important to me to talk about the womanhood of my characters, instead of trying to be like a man, which is what studios tend to prefer. I think there’s always been amazing stories about women, and there will always be more. Ladies have to keep fighting, but it’s going to be easier than it was before. And if you want something that sounds impossible, I say do it. Go make a movie. If you don’t have what you want you can’t go through life blaming people. Grab your iPhone and make a movie, make it happen. It sounds simplistic, but you have to pave your own way and never blaming others.”

Is there a story that you want to tell?

I’ve always wanted to make movies, that’s for sure. But I have not found the story that I want to tell. I love being an actress right now, and I’m a stage in my career when there’s so much happening that I’m obsessed with this craft. But there are some shortfilms that I know I’m making one day. The need of capturing images is definitely something that I have, and there’s things that I want to see happen, just to see how they unfold. I want to be in that position in which I can make things happen and that my name can green light things. Right now I’m working on Cali with Nick Cassavetes, it happens in the Valley, where I’m from. I don’t want to sound arrogant, but knowing that you can make things happen is a wonderful feeling.
