Quotes via Variety:

While [Julianne] Moore arrived in a long black lace dress — “it’s so beautiful and special, and it’s all handmade!” she exclaimed — Stewart kept it more low-key, opting to wear white and grey lace pants for the occasion. “I didn’t want to be ‘styled’ — I just wanted to wear pants and my jacket,” said the Chanel ambassador, who starred in a Chanel short film this year. What she was most looking forward to at this year’s Chanel event was the food. “It’s like, really good here!” Stewart swore of Madeo, which prepared a three-course menu — of carciofi e parmigiano, petto di pollo al limone or branzino all ‘isolana and tiramisu, paired with a Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio — for the discerning bunch.

Quotes via InStyle:

“I’m wearing a little black jacket," she shares. "I feel so lucky to have it. They’re like a coveted item. I wanted to be casual. I wanted to wear my own shoes tonight. I didn’t want to be styled”.

And who are your favourites in the acting categories? [For the Oscars this year]

Julianne Moore: Ha ha I will certainly not tell you. All are great. And there are a few more, not nominated, which should also be there. I am thinking of Kristen Stewart in 'Clouds of Sils Maria' and Idris Elba in 'Beasts of no Nation'.

Amazon acquires the untitled Woody Allen project for North America

Continuing its relationship with Woody Allen, Amazon Studios has acquired all North American rights to the director’s new movie, which stars Jeannie Berlin, Steve Carell, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Corey Stoll and Ken Stott.

A romantic comedy set in the 1930s that was shot last summer in New York and Los Angeles, the untitled film will receive a traditional theatrical release nationwide, after which it will become available exclusively to Prime members through Prime Video.

Producers of the new film include Allen’s longtime collaborator Letty Aronson, as well as Steve Tenenbaum and Edward Walson. Executive producers are Ronald L. Chez, Adam B. Stern and Marc I. Stern.

“Like all beginning relationships, there is much hope, mutual affection and genuine goodwill — the lawsuits come later,” joked Allen.

“Woody Allen is a brilliant filmmaker. We’re so proud to be in business with him for both his next film and his first ever TV series,” said Roy Price, head of Amazon Studios.

Allen is also writing and directing an untitled six-episode TV series for Amazon starring himself, Elaine May and Miley Cyrus. It’s executive produced by Erika Aronson, produced by Helen Robin, and begins shooting next month.

The movie deal was negotiated by John Burnham and Jessica Lacy of ICM Partners, Erika Aronson of Taborlake and Loeb & Loeb on behalf of the filmmakers.

Transcript (of the first page of the interview):

One More Time, With Feeling

In AnOther S/S16, Kristen Stewart dives into a Parisian tête-à-tête with actor and artist Benn Northover. Here, we present the full, accompanying shoot, shot by Paolo Roversi and styled by Katie Shillingford.

It had just started to rain as I pulled up outside the Chanel office on rue Cambon. I was there to meet Kristen Stewart who was in town for a few days after wrapping on her latest collaboration with director Olivier Assayas. We’d planned to meet after her morning appointment and then go in search of lunch. Heading north, we ended up in a quiet corner of the Rose Bakery in the 9th arrondissement. One of the first things that hit me, sitting across from Stewart as we began to talk, was her total focus. It’s that grounded presence that is so evident in much of her work to date – that impulsive energy that weaves throughout her performances, keeping each moment alive with a sense of spontaneity and the rare ability to reveal a human truth in front of the camera. If she had stopped after the multi-film franchise, which brought her to the world stage, she would have already achieved a career that many actors spend a lifetime striving for, but to Stewart, she was just beginning.

Over the past few years she’s built an impressive body of work, proving a talent and conviction that sets her apart from many of her contemporaries. It’s no wonder her magnetic portrayal of Valentine in Clouds of Sils Maria has earned her best actress trophies from both the New York Film Critics Circle and the César awards, sending the words “Oscar nomination” humming through the echo chambers of Hollywood. Characteristically focused on journey over destination, Stewart is taking this all in her stride. With several projects in the pipeline, including films with Woody Allen, Ang Lee and Kelly Reichardt along with an eye on stepping behind the camera herself, 2016 looks set to be another busy year for Stewart.

Benn Northover: You live in east LA, right I don't know that part of town.
Kristen Stewart: It's one the only places in LA where you find things that don't have a double of themselves. It's not very commercial. I don't know where else I would live in LA if I didn't have the east side.
BN: Last time in LA, I found myself at the Ace Hotel.
KS: I like downtown.
BN: It's still got those old diners and deserted movie theatres.
KS: Yeah! I saw Patti Smith at the Ace.
KS: We hang out and talk, but it's the only time I've seen her live, and that's a really sick venue. I sat at the soundboard, and in the middle of her show she cae down to say hi to me. I was like, 'Get back on stage, your psycho! Thank you, but stop!' It was amazing.
BN: How did you guys meet?
KS: At an after party for on On the Road thing (Stewart starred in the 2012 adaptation of the Jack Kerouac classic). I was in a bit of a fragile state, to be perfectly honest. Also, in a crowd that was fairly focused on, you know...myself. And she came up to me and asked me if I was OK.
BN: She got it.
