Georgie Henley mentions Kristen in her Flaunt mag interview

Georgie Henley, from the Narnia series has some sweet words to Kristen.

“Kristen Stewart inspires me. I respect her for being true to herself, not conforming or doing what people tell her. She deals with the fame really well. I think fame is what you make it. If you don’t want the fame, you can still practice your craft.”

Kristen rumoured to play Snow White?

With word circulating that Viggo Mortensen is in talks to play one of the title characters in Snow White and the Huntsmen for Universal Pictures, will Twilight Saga's Kristen Stewart end up with playing Snow White? Though the studio has been testing young actresses and no one is set, there are persistent rumors that Stewart looms large as a potential lead. Mortensen surfaces in the lead of that movie in a role that had been rumored for Michael Fassbender. But Fassbender never had an offer and he committed to the Ridley Scott-directed Prometheus with Noomi Rapace and Charlize Theron. Ironically, Theron is also starring in Huntsmen as the Evil Queen. Stewart is repped by Gersh. Stay tuned...

First OTR Still + Interview

Leaf - After so many names involved in the attempt to film "On the Road" feels like having finally secured the implementation of this project?
Walter Salles Jr. - Without the support and generosity of filmmakers and writers connected to the other incarnations of the project, such as Francis Ford Coppola, Roman Coppola and Barry Gifford, would not have reached the end ... This is the only certainty is that. From a personal standpoint, finished shooting a project that took six years to materialize is not simple. It is a feeling of emptiness.

The fact that he had been shot in 2010 somehow changed their options, since the movie deals with themes like the role of immigrants, the culture of fear, sexual repression, liberation by drugs?
The invitation from Zoetrope to make the film came in 2004. During those years that was not possible to finance the film, much has changed in the U.S. and worldwide. But Kerouac's book transcends a particular period and their possible inconsistencies. He announces a behavioral revolution that has opened up many of the changes usually associated with libertarian 60 years and that affect how we live today, the sexual liberation, mind expansion through drugs, redefining the family, the emergence of ecology etc.. And most of all, the need for experimentation.

When filming began? As last?
The MK2, the French independent producer, gave us the green light at the end of May. We only had eight weeks to prepare to start shooting, less than any movie I've directed. There were sixty-few days of shooting, 20 less than "Diaries [Motorcycle (2004)], for the same number of scenes. In other words, there was no time for much hesitation.

What countries and cities were the recordings?
In the U.S. cities that have kept traces of the past are increasingly rare. There are malls, Walmarts and McDonalds everywhere. This forced us to go farther and farther to find places that still had some architectural interest, and deserted roads. We shot in different regions of Canada, around Calgary, Montreal and Hull, in New Orleans (USA), in the deserts of Arizona, San Francisco and Mexico.

There was shooting in Bariloche. Why?
First, because the film's budget did not allow us to wait for winter in the Northern Hemisphere. One solution would be to create the winter digitally manipulating the images. I come from the documentary and am totally against it, fake snow, actors having to spend the sensation of cold at 40 degrees in the shade. That was when we remember that during the filming locations of "Diaries" was a stretch of the border between Argentina and Chile we had left out because it seems to eastern U.S.. We went there in August. We shot in the middle of snowstorms, freeze the truth and still had the pleasure of finding a good part of the team "Diaries."

What is the film's budget? The fact that a smaller budget than anticipated changed the film in any way?
The cost of On the Road "differs from other films in that it includes the expenditures that occurred during 45 years of development ... a dozen different routes, payments to producers involved in earlier stages of the film, etc.. The MK2 is still calculating the final budget, but the fact is that we shot with economy and urgency to get to the end. It was not possible, for example, mounted parallel to the shooting. It is the first time this has happened since "Foreign Land" (1996). We did not see what we shot.

There is already an estimate of when will be released?
No, because only now we begin to discover the film images, with the beginning of the assembly. I imagine he will be ready by year's end or early 2012.

- Oh god this is very exciting! I wonder when will we see a still of MarylouStew! *squee*

Sam Riley OTR co-star - defends Kristen

Sam Riley as Sal Paradise in On The Road

Riley had to get fit – "my mum calls me a streak of piss" – and spend four weeks in a beatnik bootcamp. He pulls a face. "Don't fucking ask." Did they all get stoned? "We were allowed to, but not encouraged. I'm a 30-year-old who used to smoke for breakfast, but the Americans smoke super-strength skunk so I stuck to my hash. Kerouac experts talked to us, we watched films, learned the difference between Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie."
And how was Stewart, star of the Twilight films, one of the biggest – and, according to the tabloids who won't leave her alone – grumpiest actors in the world? "She's just 20! The tabloids can fuck off! She wasn't grumpy at all. She was a bit of a Rapunzel character in her hotel suite, not wanting to come to the bar to spend all evening having her photo taken."
Sam Riley defended Kristen in an interview and its so true.

#TheRunaways one of Rotten Tomatoes, Editor's Choice Favorite Films of 2010

RT Editors Choose Their Favorite Films of 2010!
Your friendly neighborhood RT staffers name their favorite films of the year.
It was a good year to be bored in LA. I loved the slow-burn narcissism of Noah Baumbach's Greenberg and Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, but nothing beat West Coast ennui better than a gang of pre-punk teenage girls with guitars in this hazy, Quaalude-stoned reverie for the city's hedonistic heyday. Beautifully filmed by debut director Floria Sigismondi, who paints a kind of lovesick valentine to The Virgin Suicides via Christiane F., The Runaways captures what most join-the-dots music biopics don't: the vitality of its subject. It's as though the film had been shot through a smear of glam rock facepaint by a camera mounted on platform boots -- catching that fleeting thrill of being 16 and defiant, before the world comes crashing back down. And Dakota Fanning's eerie-eyed, silent film miming to "Lady Grinning Soul" -- before flipping off the school assembly -- goes way deeper than any over-the-top, earnest Oscar acting.

The Runaways got 68%

Kristen Stewart as Lara Croft ??

Tomb Raider, Too: Seven Actresses That Could Be the New Lara Croft
Soon developer Crystal Dynamics will unveil a brand new Lara Croft -- we offer casting suggestions for the film version.

While we're on the topic, sure, we're a long way from a movie based on the "Tomb Raider" reboot -- heck, the new game isn't even out yet. But with all this talk of a colorful character overhaul, it's hard not to start fantasizing about a younger, more convincing successor to Angelina Jolie as the iron-willed video game icon Lara Croft. Here are seven starlets who could possibly wield those dual pistols.

Kristen Stewart

Judging from the art we've seen from the new game, she looks the part. And if the new Lara's going to be a teenager, she's going to need her share of hair-twisting, downward-gazing angst.
